India batsman Sachin Tendulkar has announced his retirement from one-day international cricket.

The 39-year-old spoke to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Narainswamy Srinivasan before announcing his decision.

In a statement on the BCCI website, Tendulkar said: "I feel blessed to have fulfilled the dream of being part of a World Cup-winning Indian team."

The Little Master made his one-day debut in 1989 and collected 463 caps.
