Hull City defender Alex Bruce will make his Northern Ireland debut in Wednesday's friendly against Malta in Valletta.
Bruce, who previously played twice for the Republic of Ireland, is the only debutant in Michael O'Neill's starting line-up.
O'Neill, still searching for his first win as Northern Ireland boss, was tipped to hand a debut to Billy McKay but the in-form Inverness striker is on the bench with Walsall's Will Grigg starting in attack.
