On-loan Liverpool midfielder Oussama Assaidi starts his first match for Stoke, coming in for Matthew Etherington, as one of three changes from The Potters' 1-0 defeat at Fulham. Charlie Adam is in for Marc Wilson, with Andy Wilkinson replacing Geoff Cameron.
West Brom visit The Britannia after drawing 1-1 with table-toppers Arsenal, and defeating champions Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford. Manager Steve Clarke makes one change; Victor Anichebe replacing Nicolas Anelka, who drops to the bench.
